Pre-production, post-production, and plain old production-production

Just a quick end-of-February update since I’ve not checked in in a while.

Boy, I tell ya: Hollywood is nothing if not a bottleneck.

I now have three feature films in post-production with three different filmmakers.

The previews and snippets I’ve seen has me stoked and I can’t wait to see the finished products.

Currently, we’re working on pre-production for two feature films to be shot in France in 2026.

I’m also working on my first vertical series, which will be shot on location in The Philippines.

Otherwise, I’m searching for a literary agency to represent my novel—a dark road adventure in the vein of Cormac McCarthy and Barbara Kingsolver … and I’m looking for buyers for a few of my original screenplays.

Word is it’s slim pickin’s out there as far as big spec script sales goes but I’m not quite ready to go back to washing dishes or churning out news copy just yet.

Crossing my fingers that my first Christmas movie concept finds a home.

It’s sort of The Goonies meets A Christmas Story, and it’s in my top five favorite scripts I’ve written so far.

In between screenplays, I’ve kept busy with video editing projects.

I’ve really fallen in love with cutting movie trailers.

All in all, it looks to be another hectic [in a good way] year in the filmmaking business.

Good luck to us all!
