My first screenplay sale is complete!

One step closer to being official!

I signed the sales contract giving the rights of The Truffaut Affair screenplay over to BenAliza Productions today.

When Matt and me (sounds an awful lot like an awful ’80s movie) met last December and began hashing out ideas for a French-New-Wave-themed story set in modern L.A., I could only dream of actually seeing it produced.

But, after table reads, auditions, many many meetings, a whole lot of behind-the-scenes stuff I won’t bore you with, and dozens of super talented folks excited to come aboard … pre-production is now in full swing.

I know, I know … a million things have to go right for a movie to get made.

But even getting this far in the process—from devising a premise to outlining the screenplay … to actually having what I think is a pretty terrific story—feels really good.
